Desks for Visiting Service Providers
The Haven aims to provide a central location for homeless and very poor members of our community to get what they need. To that end, office space is available to members of our service provider community at no cost. We are very pleased to host the permanent offices of Charlottesville Health Access and PACEM in our Service Provider Annex. Guests of The Haven have on-site access to health advocacy and navigation services at Charlottesville Health Access and to emergency overnight shelter through PACEM‘s nightly on-site intake, during the PACEM shelter season.
Service Providers that offer services through satellite offices or office hours on site include:
Region Ten – Substance abuse and mental health outreach, engagement and referral
Legal Aid Justice Center – Legal outreach, assessment and referral
Monticello Area Community Action Agency – Financial literacy classes and counseling
Charlottesville Department of Social Services – Food stamp outreach, eligibility and screening
Offender Aid & Restoration – Resume development and job search coaching
Charlottesville Redevelopment Housing Authority – Applications for public housing
On Our Own – Mental health & peer support outreach
